Terms of service

General terms and conditions between the customer (= the buyer) and the online shop Sophiesalm.com (= the seller)
represented by Sophie Ledochowski ( business address: Taubstummengasse 8/2 1040 Vienna, tel: 0043 699 18181845, email address: shop@sophiesalm.com, Sales tax identification number: none because the company is classified as exempt under Austrian tax rules).

This contract regulates the sale of goods via the provider's online shop sophiesalm(dot)com . The goods in question are described in the respective product description on the offer page.

Austrian contract law is applicable under these terms of service.

Contract details


The items offered either via the website (or via other forms of communication such as email or telephone) are non binding offer by Sophie Ledochowski. The services offered represent a non-binding invitation to the buyer to submit a customer order, which Sophie Ledochowski can then accept. For the avoidance of doubt the placement of an order does not constitute an acceptance by Sophie Ledochowski.  The ordering process for the submission of an order includes the following steps in the shop system:

  • Selection of the product or service in the desired specification (size, color, number)
  • Place the offer in the shopping cart
  • Pressing the 'order' button
  • Enter the billing and delivery address
  • Choice of payment method
  • Review and processing of the order and all entries
  • Pressing the 'complete order' button
  • Confirmation email that order has been received

In addition to the shop system, orders can also be placed via telephone or e-mail, whereby the ordering process for concluding such an order submission includes the following steps:

  • Call the order hotline / send the order submission email
  • Confirmation by telephone or email that order has been received

The sales contract is concluded with the explicit acknowledgment by Sophie Ledochowski that the order has been accepted. An automatically generated order confirmation does not represent a corresponding legally binding sales agreement. The contract is concluded when the goods are sent or the service agreed upon is rendered.

Contract duration

The contract is concluded for an indefinite period.

Retention of title

The delivered goods remain the property of Sophie Ledochowski until full payment has been made.

Caveats

The provider reserves the right not to provide the promised service if it is not available. The provider will promptly notify the purchaser if the goods or services agreed upon cannot be provided. 

Prices, shipping costs, return costs

All prices are final and do not include sales tax (VAT). In addition to the final prices, there are additional costs depending on the shipping method, which are displayed before the order is shipped. If the right to return is used by the purchaser, then the purchaser will bear the costs of the return. Items returned must be shipped via a carrier willing to insure the items.

Terms of payment

The customer only has the following options for payment:

  • advance transfer
  • Payment service provider (PayPal).

Other payment methods are not offered and will be rejected.


The invoice amount is to be transferred in advance to the account specified after receipt of the invoice, which contains all information for the transfer and is sent by e-mail. When using an escrow service/payment service provider, this enables the provider and customer to process the payment among themselves. The escrow service/payment service provider forwards the customer's payment to the provider. Further information is available on the website of the respective escrow service/payment service provider. The customer is obliged to pay or transfer the amount shown to the account specified on the invoice within 14 days of receipt of the invoice. Payment is due from the invoice date without deduction. The customer will be classified as delinquent after a reminder.

Delivery terms

The goods will be shipped immediately after confirmed receipt of payment. The dispatch takes place on average after 3 business days at the latest. The seller will try to deliver within 7 days of acceptance of the order. The standard delivery time is 7 days unless otherwise stated in the item description. The seller will dispatch the order from his own warehouse as long as there is stock available. The purchaser will be informed immediately of any delays. The seller reserves the right to withdraw from an agreement if the supply chain is disrupted temporarily or permanently. In such a case the purchaser will be informed immediately and any payments made, will be fully or partially refunded. Bespoke (or made to order items) have delivery times of about 6 weeks.

Salvatorische Klausel

The invalidity of any mentioned provision of these terms and conditions has no effect on the validity of the other provisions.
